Claus Born, CFA

Claus Born is Head of Client Portfolio Management, EMEA & LatAm for Templeton Global Investments, based in the Frankfurt office. An integrated member of the investment team, Claus has responsibility for engaging with clients globally across distribution channels to provide solutions and improved outcomes by sharing the team's insights. Through leveraging their combined knowledge, he represents the CIO and portfolio managers in articulating all facets of the team's various investment strategies, whether meeting institutional clients and financial advisors or presenting at conferences.

Claus has more than 25 years of experience within global and emerging markets. Until 2014, he was a member of the portfolio management teams of our Latin America and Frontier Markets strategies. Until 2021, he combined his current role with research responsibilities for Latin American and European companies with large Emerging Markets exposure.

Claus holds a degree in business administration from the University of Bayreuth (Germany), specializing in finance, accounting and taxation. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder. He speaks German, English, Spanish and French.
