Jacob Armstrong

Jacob Armstrong is a Senior Vice President and Head of Insurance Strategic Development at Franklin Templeton, where he leads strategic partnerships and corporate development initiatives with insurance companies.

Mr. Armstrong joined Franklin Templeton in 2016 as Head of the U.S. Insurance Business, following senior roles at J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Waddell & Reed, where he co-led the insurance business and served on the institutional operating committee. He now leads Franklin Templeton’s strategic insurance initiatives, focused on growing and expanding the firm’s global insurance business. Franklin Templeton manages approximately $170 billion in insurance assets globally.

Mr. Armstrong holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and currently serves on an advisory board for LIMRA. He previously served as a board member of the Insured Retirement Institute and the Alliance for Lifetime Income, two leading insurance industry organizations based in Washington, D.C.
