James Conn, CFA

James Conn is a senior vice president and portfolio manager for Franklin Templeton Fixed Income - Municipal Bonds in San Mateo, California, United States. Mr. Conn is responsible for managing all national municipal strategies and taxable municipal strategies.

Mr. Conn has over 33 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to his current role, Mr. Conn was a director of research and portfolio manager for California Investment Trust. He also was previously with George K. Baum & Company. Mr. Conn joined Franklin Templeton in 1987.

Mr. Conn holds a bachelor of arts in commerce from Santa Clara University, and a MBA from the University of San Francisco. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, member of the CFA Institute, National Federation of Municipal Analysts (NFMA), Security Analysts of San Francisco (SASF) and the San Francisco Bond Club.
