Khalid Murgian is responsible for leading the institutional business development team in the Middle East and Africa.

Khalid joined Franklin Templeton in January 2020 in the Dubai office. He has spent 20 years working with Central Banks, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Government and Corporate Pension schemes, among other institutional investors as they have made investment allocations across the risk spectrum. Partnering with those institutions to invest in Equities, Fixed Income and Alternatives during all market environments.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Khalid ran his own business development consulting business. Earlier in his career, he was a managing director and regional business leader at Neuberger Berman and Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He started his asset management career as a Sales Director at Columbia Threadneedle. Khalid has worked and lived in the US, UK and UAE.

He holds a MSc in Politics of the World Economy from the London School of Economics, an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA in Economics (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of San Francisco.
